Oct 7: Workshop – What Do TCKs Need To Thrive?

tckTCKs (Third Culture Kids) get a lot of great experiences and opportunities to develop their personalities that other kids don’t. But what are their special needs and challenges? How can they feel at home in many cultures instead of feeling homeless? Family therapist Ulrika Ernvik will share her insights and ideas about how parents, teachers, Member Care givers, counselors and others can come alongside TCKs and help them find their way in life.

ulrikaUlrika Ernvik, Counselor and Family Therapist The Well Member Care Center, Chiang Mai, is Swedish and grew up as a missionary kid in Congo. A mother to missionary kids and adopted children, she has a special heartbeat for families in transition and families with adopted children. Ulrika works to help family members to connect in a deeper way with each other and with God and loves to see when healing takes place in individuals and in relationships.

Ulrika holds a Master in Social Work and is trained in Family Therapy, Community Parent Education (COPE), Theophostic Prayer and Rhythmical Movement Training (for children with ADD and Autism).
