WY.U.MI (The Big Picture Camp II)

by admin on January 29, 2010

WY.U.MI is an adventure camp organised by NTM Singapore & partnering churches for challenging Young Adults to Reach Asia for Christ. The camp will have two tracks running simultaneously.  One will be catered for youth, ages approximately 13-16 and the second for young adults aged approximately 17-26.

Any young people attending this camp will leave with a new perspective on missions and with a challenge to be a part of what God is doing to complete the Great Commission in their lifetime.

Brad Buser and Darryl Palmer, missionaries with New Tribes Mission will be our featured speakers again.   Missionaries from other organizations will be assisting with various modules and the camp programme.  Brad, along with his wife Beth, and their four children, served with New Tribes Mission in Papua New Guinea reaching the Iteri people (1979-1999).   They are now living in San Diego, California where Brad serves as mission pastor in his home church.  Brad also teaches “Cross-Cultural Church Planting” modules at The Master College, at Eternity Bible College, the book of Acts at Ecola Bible Institute, Perspective courses all over the US, as well as serving as an National Representative for New Tribes Mission.

Brad has been involved in conducting 3 youth camps in Germany, speaks at youth conferences every year in Mexico, and takes numerous speaking opportunities at Christian colleges in the US:  Biola University, Heritage College, Westmont University, Azusa Pacific University, Liberty University, Ecola Bible College, Masters College and others.  Obviously, Brad communicates and relates well with youth.

Darryl Palmer was on staff at New Tribes Mission’s mission training centre in Camdenton, Missouri for about 5 years, teaching phonetics, culture and language acquisition before he and his wife went to Indonesia to serve in reaching the Taliabo People.  Darryl and Kyla are featured missionaries in the award-winning videos, “The Taliabo Story” and “Delivered From The Power Of Darkness.

Ken Springsteen served for 20 years assisting in outreaches to tribal people groups, doing member care to missionaries and providing administrative leadership for the New Tribes Mission field of Papua New Guinea before coming to Singapore to serve as NTM Singapore Coordinator
